Certain violations may be dismissed, at the Court's discretion, upon payment of a compliance fee. Payment is due when written proof of compliance is received.
Expired Motor Vehicle Registration
You may present proof of correction of a license registration on or before the court date listed on your citation. Your registration receipt must reflect that the late registration penalty fee was paid to county. You will still owe a compliance fee to the Court. ** IF MORE THAN 60 DAYS EXPIRED, YOU NEED TO COME TO COURT ON YOUR COURT DATE.
Expired Driver's License
You may present proof of correction of an expired driver’s license violation to the Court Clerk by the court date listed on your citation or within 20 days after the date of your citation, whichever is later.
Failure to Change Address or Name on Driver's License
You may present proof of correction by the court date listed on your citation or within 20 days after the date of your citation, whichever is later.
Other Violations Subject to Compliance Dismissals
- Operating motor vehicle without license plate or one plate
- Displaying altered, unclean or obscured license plate
- Violating driver’s license restriction or endorsement
- Operating vehicle with defective equipment
- You may present proof of these corrections before the first court appearance
