JULY 4TH FESTIVAL ATTENDANCE NEAR RECORD BREAKING IN TOMBALL

Tomball’s 6th annual “July 4th Celebration & Street Festival presented by Allied Siding & Windows” came close to breaking the all-time attendance record for the event as more than 24,600 festival goers filled Business 249 on Independence Day.  Total estimated attendance city-wide by Tomball Police and Fire was close to 50,000 by the end of the evening.

Falling just under the record of 25,000 guests set in 2015, the celebration featured music from Beatles cover band The Fab 5 on the Quick Quack Car Wash concert stage.

Tomball’s VFW and American Legion Posts, and Patriot Guard took part in a patriotic musical salute to America and its veterans led by Valeria Hill with other local performers.  There were also performances by Constituting America’s singer/song writer contest winners for 2016 hosted by actress and organization co-founders Janine and Juliette Turner.

The evening was topped off by the second largest fireworks display in Harris County high over State Highway 249.

Event partners included Allied Siding & Windows, Kroger, Quick Quack Car Wash and K-Star 99.7 FM.

The City’s next event is the Tomball Texas Music Festival on Saturday, August 26th featuring Two Tons of Steel, Mike & the Moonpies, Bayou Roux and Darbi Shaun at the historic downtown Depot.  Admission and parking are free.

Tomball is just 28-miles northwest of downtown Houston on FM 2920 at Highway 249.  Call 281-351-5484 or visit tomballtx.gov for information.  “Like” Tomball on Facebook at “Tomball Texan For Fun” for the latest information about festivals, live music, unique shopping and award winning restaurants.
