Systemwide Water Flusing

The City of Tomball will conduct a major flush of the water system on October 15, 2018 – October 19, 2018 starting at 10:00 PM on October 15, 2018. During the flushing times, some establishments may experience low water pressure. After flushing, some discoloration or sediments may be trapped in your faucets. If that happens, you may need to open your outside faucets and allow the water to flow until it clears. You may also need to remove and clean the screens on the ends of your indoor faucets.

The City consistently tests and treats our public drinking water to ensure that it is safe. In addition to our extensive testing and treatment program, we also systematically flush our water distribution lines to remove residual particles and introduce freshly treated water.

Through these efforts, the City of Tomball’s public drinking water system has achieved Superior Public Water System status.
