Update on Utility Billing Schedule and Issuance of Bills

January Bill Update


Since Dec. 20, 2022, the City of Tomball has been unable to access its utility billing system to generate customer bills or accept payments. We know this experience has been frustrating for our customers and residents, and we appreciate the patience and understanding our community has shown as we restored our system. Over the next few weeks, we will resume regular utility billing operations and will begin accepting payments and issuing bills. 

To allow our customers time to receive and review bills and make payments, we will roll out additional information over the next few weeks as we reactivate various systems and generate bills.


JANUARY BILLS GENERAL INFORMATION

  • January 2023 bills will be issued on Friday, March 3, 2023.
  • We have extended the due date for January bills to April 28, 2023.
  • There will be no late payment penalties or disconnects if you pay your January bill in full by April 28, 2023
  • If you receive your bill via email, it will be sent from: noreply@mail.tdr.tylerhosting.cloud. Please check your spam folder if you do not see your bill in your inbox.

For Customers who Provided a Partial or Estimated Payment

  • If you provided partial or estimated payment of your January bill, your payment has been recorded and the payment will be reflected on your January 2023 bill. 
  • If you have a balance remaining on your account after your partial payment, you will not be charged a late fee penalty if the balance of your January payment is received by April 28, 2023.
  • If you paid an estimated amount and the payment is greater than your January bill amount, your account has been credited the full amount and you will see a credit on future bills.

 

IMPORTANT SYSTEM CHANGES

CITY-INITIATED BANK DRAFT CUSTOMERS 

  • If your payment is normally processed via a City-initiated bank draft, you must pay your bill via another payment method. We can no longer process City-initiated bank drafts.
  • If you want to continue using a bank draft, you can set up bank drafts through our online payment system (see PAYMENT INFORMATION on next page).

ONLINE PAYMENT CUSTOMERS

  • If you make a payment via a pre-arranged credit card draft, you will need to login to the online system and manually process your payment.
  • All automatic drafts have been cancelled so that no customer is drafted for multiple bills as they are issued. 
  • We can now accept partial payments. 


PAYMENT INFORMATION

At this time, customers are able to pay one of the following ways:

In person at 501 James St., Tomball, TX 77375

  • We can accept cash, cashier’s checks, money orders, personal checks, or credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express only).
  • Office hours are 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday.

Online through the Municipal Online Payments system

  • Go to "How to Pay Your Bill".
  • Click on “Online Bill Pay Website” under the “Online” Payment option.
  • We can accept credit cards, debit cards, and e-check/bank drafts.

Via Phone by calling the Customer Service Office at (281) 290-1450

  1. We can accept credit cards payments via phone (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express)
  2. Office hours are 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday.

  • Please make sure to include your account number and service address or bill stub with your payment.
