Suggest that "private property owners" w/ properties used by the public, legally specify parking. Repeatedly, I'm physically threatened by "a" business operator (not owner) to tow my vehicle because I use adjacent businesses & park before hers. Limited spaces aren't ID'd, aside from a sign in her business window stating no parking w/ the notice of towing; still no specific ID of "where." For safety, I phoned the police (who seemed understandably annoyed at the purpose for response); he couldn't verify or state legality of the claim. He asked me to park elsewhere. If initially available, this wouldn't be a consideration. Anyone new to or visiting Tomball shouldn't expect vehicles towed if parked at Lowe's and shopping at PetSmart. Same case, but at 204 E. Main. Suggest that "dedicated" parking be labeled/ID'd as such. Residents/consumers shouldn't have a vehicle towed at their expense for what would otherwise be lawful, common knowledge and not a common, unlawful practice. TYVM - Kim C.

Lowering of taxes. It seems that taxes are out of line, what I mean by this is that when I break down my taxes to a per month amount it equals 71% of my monthly mortgage payment. Who in their right mind would consider this to be fair. My mortgage is $938 per month and my taxes are $700 per month. This is the type of thing that prevents my son and many others from becoming home owners. While they might be able to afford a mortgage payment when they add taxes in it becomes unreachable. My taxes in Michigan including state income tax for both my wife and I came to just $5800. We paid no taxes for water and sewage infrastructure even in a newly built community, those costs we recooped in our water bills, the bills for water there are lower than here as well. So how do I get something going to get taxes reduced? Or is this the same as fighting Washington, you have the money and like spending it so you don't want to give it up?

Is there any way we could consider implementing a city ordinance to charge for plastic bags in stores? The UK saw an 85% decrease in plastic bags after implementing a small 5 pence fee for the use of plastic bags in store, dropping total bags per year from 7.5 billion to around 1 billion!
I live next to a Target store and the plastic bags are constantly finding their way into our yard and getting stuck in our trees. Around 8 million tonnes of plastic find their way into the world's oceans every year! Let's have Houston do our part and implement this effect method to reduce pollution!
