The City of Tomball, Harris County, Texas is accepting sealed bids for “M121W & M121E CHANNEL IMPROVEMENTS”. The bid documents may be obtained for no charge by downloading them at www.civcastusa.com (account setup required) or at the office of GUNDA CORPORATION (32731 Egypt Lane, Magnolia, Texas 77354) for a $75.00 non-refundable charge for each complete set of documents obtained. Make checks payable to Gunda Corporation.
Sealed bids should be addressed to the Project Coordinator, City of Tomball, 501 James Street, Tomball, Texas 77375 and shall be labeled “E&P PROJECT No. 2003-10005; Project Bid Number 2019-04 M121W & M121E Channel Improvements”, “DO NOT OPEN”. Bids shall be submitted no later than 2:00 PM CST on Thursday, September 26, 2019, at which time all bids shall be opened and read aloud.
A pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 200 PM CST at the City of Tomball, Public Works Administration Building Training Room, 501 James Street, Tomball, Texas 77375. To familiarize bidders with the City facilities, site visits will be performed after the meeting to those interested. The pre-bid conference is not mandatory.
Cashier’s Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount bid must accompany the BID. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid deemed advantageous to it and waive informalities in bidding. All bids received after the closing time designated will be returned unopened.
During the period between the Request for Proposals or the Bid Solicitation, submission date, and the contract award, respondents including their agents and/or representatives/owners, shall not directly or indirectly promote their proposal or bid to any member of the Tomball City Council or City staff except in the course of City-sponsored inquires, briefings, interviews, and/or presentations requests. Violation of this provision may result in the rejection of the respondent’s Proposal submittal.
The City of Tomball reserves the right to accept or to reject any bids, to waive technicalities and to make any investigation deemed necessary concerning the bidder’s ability to provide the product(s) required, and to accept what in its judgment is the most advantageous bid.
