Downtown Tomball was filled with music, laughter, and the irresistible smell of crawfish on Saturday, April 26, as Tomball's annual Rails & Tails Mudbug Festival returned to the Depot Plaza. This family-friendly spring celebration brought together locals and visitors alike for a full day of live music, engaging activities, and plenty of creole flavor.
Festivalgoers enjoyed plates piled high with seasoned crawfish and other tasty bites while listening to live entertainment and shopping at over 20 local vendor booths that lined the festival grounds. Children bounced between the face painting station, petting zoo, and inflatable play zones, while families gathered for games and photo ops throughout the plaza.
Live Zydeco and Cajun rhythms kept the crowd moving all afternoon, with high-energy performances by Platinum Players Zydeco Band and Bayou Junction providing the perfect soundtrack for the festivities. The blend of music, food, and family fun created a welcoming atmosphere that celebrated Tomball’s small-town charm and community spirit.
With another successful Rails & Tails in the books, we are already gearing up for the city's next major event on Independence Day: the July 4th Street Fest and Celebration.
