The City of Tomball welcomed the Christmas season with a festive evening at this year’s Deck the Depot celebration on Saturday, Dec. 6. Families and visitors from across the area gathered at the historic Tomball Depot Plaza to enjoy an event filled with holiday entertainment, community spirit, and the official lighting of the Tomball Depot Plaza Christmas tree.
Guests were treated to a full lineup of live performances, including dances by Cypress Elite Dance Academy and the Tomball Community Center’s Just Dance Team, as well as a musical showcase from the Kleb Intermediate Show Choir. Cool Freddie E and his crew also entertained attendees throughout the evening with live holiday music to dance and sing along to.
Throughout the event, attendees enjoyed a variety of holiday activities. Children got the chance to play in real snow, write letters to Santa, and ride the Depot’s popular trackless train. Families also visited with Santa for photos and enjoyed complimentary cookies and hot cocoa, made possible through the support of community partners. Local vendors and businesses were on hand with food and gift items, giving guests the opportunity to support Tomball’s small business community during the holiday season.
At 7:00 p.m., Mayor Lori Klein Quinn, joined by Councilmembers Lisa Covington, Dane Dunagin, and Paul Garcia, led the countdown to light the Christmas tree. They were accompanied by Tomball’s newly appointed Miss Tomball 2026, adding a special touch to the ceremony.
Deck the Depot remains one of Tomball’s most cherished holiday traditions, bringing residents and visitors together to celebrate the season in the heart of downtown. The City extends sincere appreciation to all who attended, performed, volunteered, and supported this year’s event.
