Sergeant Dung Nguyen currently holds the rank of Patrol Sergeant with the Tomball Police Department. He began his career in law enforcement in 2019 with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, where he served as a Detention Officer until 2021. In February of 2021, he joined the Tomball Police Department as a Police Officer. During his tenure, he has served in multiple capacities, including as a School Resource Officer from August 2022 to May 2023 and as a Traffic Enforcement Officer from May 2023 to September 2023.
In September 2023, Sergeant Nguyen was promoted to the rank of Corporal. In this role, he worked a variety of shifts, including days and evenings, and consistently demonstrated strong leadership and a commitment to public safety. In 2025, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, where he currently serves with the Tomball Police Department.
Sergeant Nguyen holds an Advanced Peace Officer License and specializes in traffic enforcement, intermediate and advanced crash collision investigation, and crash reconstruction. He has been recognized for his dedication and professionalism as a Public Safety Officer. Sergeant Nguyen holds a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership.
