The Human Resources Department is responsible for recruiting, training, and developing policy and procedures pertaining to personnel. Additionally, the Human Resources department manages the city’s compensation and benefit plans, maintains positive employee relations and monitors policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. The department is also responsible for risk management and worker’s compensation for the city.

To further enhance the City of Tomball’s capability of providing excellent customer service by recruiting and retaining a knowledgeable work force to carry out the mission of serving the citizens of Tomball. The Human Resources department provides leadership, development, information, and services to employees and the citizens through Collaboration, Pro-action, Partnership and Innovation.
