2026 Tomball Police Department Pinning Ceremony
On Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, Tomball Police Department hosted its annual Pinning Ceremony and Uniform Inspection, recognizing the dedication, professionalism, and service of officers and staff.
During the ceremony, 15 sworn and non-sworn personnel took the Oath of Office, administered by Mayor Lori Klein Quinn, and received their new badges, marking an important milestone in their law enforcement careers. The event also included a formal uniform inspection and an awards presentation honoring outstanding service within the department.
Special recognition was given to Officer Michael Bertasz, who received the 2025 Officer of the Year Award, and Angela Fagg, who was honored with the Medal of Merit for her exemplary contributions.
Quarterly Officers of the Year were also acknowledged during the ceremony, including Officer Alex Martinez (1st Quarter), Detective Bryce Smith (2nd Quarter), PSO Davion Bradley (3rd Quarter), and Officer Michael Bertasz (4th Quarter).
The ceremony was attended by City Councilmembers Lisa A. Covington, Paul Garcia, Dane Dunagin, and Randy Parr, along with representatives from the offices of Wesley Hunt and Tom Oliverson.
The annual Pinning Ceremony and Uniform Inspection serves as a meaningful opportunity to highlight the commitment, excellence, and integrity of the Tomball Police Department. The City of Tomball extends its appreciation to all officers, staff, families, and community members who joined in celebrating these achievements.
